You're In control of your mental health
Mental Health Conditions are no one’s fault — these conditions develop for complicated reasons that researchers are only just starting to understand. While they can be complicated and hard to understand, there are things you can do to help.
Start the conversation
Experiencing mental health symptoms is often frightening and lonely. That’s why speaking up and asking for help is a sign of strength. It can be hard to know what to say but start with something like, “I’m not feeling right. I think I need help. Can I talk to you about it?”
Getting Help
There are numerous mental health resources for adolescents, teens, and young adults, including online resources, support groups, peer networks, helplines, treatment locators, and advocacy opportunities.

Meet The Creator
Anastasia Barker is a 16-year-old from Florida and Scout with BSA troop 339. She created The Bumblebee Project as her Eagle Scout project, but it means much more than just a scouting requirement.
Anastasia has struggled with mental health issues for over four years including depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, self-harm, disordered eating, and Tourette's syndrome. She came up with the idea for this project in November of 2020 and made it her main goal to try and help others going through the same journey.
She partnered with NAMI Pasco county in February of 2021 to make the project come to life.
Why the bumblebee? During her first two years of high school, Anastasia dealt with self-harm. Throughout this time a friend would draw a bee on her wrist in Sharpie. Since then the bumblebee has become her symbol of recovery.
